The Mercer County Fire Investigation Team is a vital component of the Mercer County Fire District. The Fire Investigation Team is tasked with performing a basic investigation of the cause of a fire, especially if command staff on scene believe the blaze to be suspicious in nature. If arson is suspected, investigators contact the proper authorities and assist in providing information for the investigation. Fire Investigation Team meetings are open to all fire service members and are generally held on the 4th Thursday of each month at the Burgin Fire Station from 6:30 PM - 8:30 PM. The members of the Fire Investigation Team are as follows:
