Radio Information Page Now Online

Communications among first responders in Mercer County have improved with the purchase of our new radio system. With this improvement comes one limitation - the type of radio Department staff can use. Only certain brands and models of radios are compatible with the system; the webpage below may help clarify the matter. Please visit the "Radio ID" page to see pictures and descriptions of equipment that may be used on the new repeater system.

Firewise Committee - Dixville Station

A commitee has been formed at MCFD Station 11 to address Firewise certification for the Dixville/Rose Hill area. The National Fire Protection Association's (NFPA) Firewise Communities program encourages local solutions for wildfire safety by involving homeowners, community leaders, planners, developers, firefighters, and others in the effort to protect people and property from the risk of wildfire. The program is co-sponsored by the USDA Forest Service, the US Department of the Interior, and the National Association of State Foresters.
